City of Stonnington invites residents on a free guided tour that follows food and green waste from collection to compost. Meet at Central Park in Malvern East, travel by community bus to Bio Gro in Dandenong South for a facility tour and light lunch, then return to Central Park to meet a council gardener and see how compost supports local parks. Attendees must be 18 or over, wear closed-toe flat shoes and long pants, and be willing to wear provided protective equipment. Bring a water bottle; a light lunch, tea and coffee are provided.
