Creative Community Space and The Fabric ReStore join communities around Australia for the Great Global Mend, a national event where people repair and mend clothing and textiles together, starting with a simultaneous mass-mending moment. Bring your mending pile and sit in with other menders. Needles, thread, scissors, pins, tape, buttons, safety pins, fabric scraps and an iron are provided, with buttons also for sale at The Fabric ReStore. This is a DIY mending event, not a repair service, and there are no official instructors, but participants and ReStore staff will be on hand for support.
