Mend and Mingle at Strathdon House and Orchard Precinct in Forest Hill teaches simple clothing-repair skills with Jodie from A Fitting Connection, as part of Whitehorse City Council Sustainable Whitehorse events. Session 1 Visible Mending (10am-11.30am) covers sashiko stitching, darning, patching and decorative embroidery. Session 2 Stitch and Fix (12pm-1pm) covers sewing on buttons and hemming by hand. Bring a garment that needs work, or practise on provided materials.
