A writing workshop at Bunjil Place Library on shaping migration experiences into stories, led by Melbourne-based writer and translator Moreno Giovannoni. Through writing exercises and discussion, participants explore drawing on memory, family history and personal observation. Topics include avoiding stereotypes and sentimental shortcuts, using lived experience with honesty and restraint, and gathering story material through interviewing, listening, recording and archival research.
