Melbourne Fringe is Victoria's longest-running open-access multi-arts festival, running since 1982 and presenting theatre, comedy, dance, music and visual art from any artist who registers a show, with no curatorial selection. Its stated mission is to democratise the arts by empowering anyone to realise their right to creative expression.
